Owner, designer & artist of Evers Art Shop
From a small farming community in California, I came to the big city and earned a BFA in Ceramics. I’m living the dream of teaching pottery to students of every age while concentrating on my own practice and growth.
Our story
01 How it started
When taking a random pottery class at Cuesta College in San Luis Obispo, CA, I knew I had fallen in love with the process. I was getting my welding degree at the time and had a weird obsession with extreme heat. I ended up getting my degree but then figuring out how to continue my life with ceramics.
The fact that you can bring something into existence by using clay totally intrigued me. Of course, the thousands of degrees Fahrenheit needed to fire the work was also super exciting. Then again, maybe watching liquid glaze turn to glass was my favorite part. Who am I kidding? I love the entire process!
